South Lincolnshire Mind Centres
OPENING HOURS
Monday to Friday 10.00am to 3.30pm.
Introduction
South Lincolnshire Mind is a mental health charity. We are a local association affiliated to Mind (National Association for Mental Health), which works to support people in the community who suffer the effects of mental and emotional distress. We also work to support carers.
We have drop-in Centres in Grantham and Bourne, run by staff and trained volunteers, where we offer a range of activities and outings, access to information about other appropriate services in the area and support for users, members, carers and friends.
We also offer one-to-one confidential talks and try to give friendship and support. We are open five days a week.
We operate an “Open Door” policy which means that anyone can visit anytime that we are open. Referrals are also accepted via the statutory sector and other organisations in the area. You will have the chance to speak to a volunteer or one of the staff very soon after you first arrive at the centre.
Our centres are available for you to meet with others with similar mental health issues or with other carers.
You will be provided with a copy of our confidentiality policy and our complaints policy as part of this pack.
You do not have to be a member to use our services. You will need to provide some details about yourself for insurance purposes.
If you choose to join our Association, the annual subscription is just just £2.00 (As of January 2008). Subscriptions and donations help to support South Lincolnshire Mind.
